darn engrish assignment

February 9, 2009 by special k

Stupid thing forced me to write a blog. There’s nothing new to stalk on facebook and there aren’t that many distractions left after that, so I’ve resorted to blogging. I could sit here and complain about how much I despise this course and how I have a high chance of failing, but I’d rather not. Instead, I’m gonna blog about how horrible my hair dying experience was.

phpyIaAbrSo I used the all natural hair dye product that S gave me. I’m not sure what else is in it, but I know there’s coffee beans. The directions simply say to soak it in water for 2-3 hours… doesn’t say how much water.phpPwTlZX I start with a little bit of water and add more to get as pasty of a consistency as I can. I guess I added too much water, cuz by the time it ends up in my hair, it’s dripping all over the place. But you would think letting it soak in water is supposed to make it thicker or something. It was pure chaos. I almost gave up and washed the stuff out, but I had already been waiting three hours for it to soak, I wasn’t about to let it go to waste. So I spent the last two hours of my wait wiping dye off my face. After I washed it out, the color turned out okay and my hair was surpisingly silky soft…but it STUNK. The smell was horrible. It smelled like rotting vegetables and sour coffee. I washed my hair over and over again for a week, and I still couldn’t get the stink out. I eventually had to resort to redying my hair with my good old herbal essensence, which got the smell out. Oy…never trying that again. It totally wasn’t worth the silk.

Oh for the love of hair. It’s ok. I understand.
