Goodbye germs
So bf was sick during vday weekend. Apparently there’s something bad going around. Knowing my track record, I was bound to get it, but I saw him anyway…just cuz I wanted to. I figured I might as well try my best to jump my immune system and see if it’d help. I remembered all those commercials on Airborne…boosting your immuse system, fighting off colds, preventing colds and crap. Well I never knew this, but apparently they were sued for false advertising by some states and paid a crap load of money for their mouth full. I decided to give it a try anyway. It’s really just supposed to boost your immune system to help your body fight off germs better. I figured it’d be at least worth a try since it probably wasn’t gonna do me any harm. So I purchased a generic brand and took it as directed.
They’re just big tablets you dissolve in water. It was kinda weird to drink at first, but really wasn’t as bad as I thought it was gonna be. It’s been a week and I haven’t gotten sick and I’m feeling totally fine. I’m not saying this stuff works wonders, but it’s pretty rare for me not to get sick around the sick. S and I have a strange sick connection. Whenever she or I get sick, we get the other one sick… whether we see each other or not. Odd, but rather true. Considering all the kiddies I have to work with, I think I might try investing in this stuff more often. These guys just cough all over their hands then rub it on their papers before they turn it in. It’s lovely. If I do end up getting sick some day, I try experimenting with this stuff and see how fast it takes for me to get over my sickness.

I tried this too! I like the grapefruit flavor. By the time I was using it though, I was already sick, just hoping I’d get better sooner. My other go-to that I think works (maybe it’s all in my head) is Zicam (the generic version tablets). As soon as you feel the beginnings of a cold, small tickle of the sore throat, take it.
