I know this sounds ridiculous, but I could really use a vacation right now.
I think I just need to get out of Maryland… change of scenery or something. I’ve gone to NJ and VA for short two day trips, but it’s never actually a vacation. I realized… I DONT HAVE WINTER BREAK ANYMORE! With both of my jobs, I work right through the break season.
It’s kinda like a never ending circle of nonsense though. I work so much that I need a vacation. I can’t go on vacation cuz I don’t have the funds to. Student loan payments have started and it’s not okay. After college life smells…like poo.

I think I’m going to start yelping…
I find their reviews so useful, and I find myself so picky, that it just makes sense to start yelping. I usually do most of my no nonsense bitching on my blog, but why not share it with the rest of the world on a review site? Not that I can’t give compliments or anything. If a place is well deserving of a compliment, I’ll give it… But that’s a big IF.
I’ve realized over the years, that I do a lot of complaining after I go somewhere. I think my mom brings it out in me. Her cooking, to me, is one of a kind, so I tend to compare a lot of things to her cooking. Also, customer service is a field I’ve worked in and I’ve found that I’m pretty anal about it. If you’re not giving me the service I’m paying for, you’ll probably see it in your tip. I expect at least a smile and some knowledge of what you’re doing. I don’t know, maybe I’m just snobby, but I think good customer service can be hard to find nowadays if you’re not paying a fortune for your meal. Don’t get me wrong or anything, I don’t expect people to wait on me hand and foot, but is a friggin smile too much to ask for!? … I must be bitter or something. Let’s think positive thoughts…mmm food. sushi.

my car got towed.
not fun.
i almost cried.
I park at Giant for my job at the cupcakery… but EVERYONE does. The limit is 2 hrs, and I park there for like 4 max. It’s never been a problem till now. The thing is, I didn’t even notice right away cuz I went into Giant to buy something like a GOOD customer. Unlike everyone else who parks there, I make an effort to be a customer everyday. By the time I got out, it was time to rush to my next job and then DUDE WHERES MY CAR.
Yeah, not ok. Cost me 158 to get it out. They didn’t even WAIT two hours to tow! The Giant people called and it was towed in less than an hour!… I would have tried to fight it…but their reasoning was b/c they saw me walk off, and I guess that’s part of their towing policy. My gawd. It’s the end of the year and EVERYONE wants money. gr. WELL I DO TOO. HMPH.
I ran back to tell my coworkers, and they ran to their cars. All was well but one other who also got towed. ugh. I got an email later that day from another coworker that she got towed too though. urghhh.
oh! and to top it off, my windshield cracks!! I had a minor crack at the corner of my windshield cuz a stupid rock hit my car on the highway. Just this week the crack went alllll the way across my windshield…I though it was gonna fall in. That’s another 150 out of my pocket. argh. no shopping for me this year.

Okay, so I never got back to post my update on how ammmaaazing black friday was.
It went soooo smoothly! We got out of walmart by 12:20 and got most of the deals we wanted!
We went out to the hagerstown outlet afterwards, which was still pretty crowded, but we (as in the bf) were able to find parking (while i shopped).
We were out of there by 3 cuz we were exhausted, stopped by waffle house on the way home for some yummy breakfast, and slept the rest of the day away.
The only problem is that it’s kicked my shopping into overdrive and Now I can’t stop looking online for deals. Not that i’m always hitting “add to cart” or anything, I’m just tempted to and I have this internal debate for days as to whether or not I should buy or not buy. *sigh* shopping gets so stressful sometimes.Category Uncategorized | Tags: | 2 Comments

pre black friday

Since the bf and I decided to do Walmart this year, I decided that Frederick would probably be the better bet…and I was so right! Well…it hasn’t started yet, but its already much better than my last Walmart experience in germantown. First off, I get to line up inside, instead of the freezing cold bc its a 24hr Walmart. Everything is wrapped in plastic scattered around the store, and you wait next to what you want. Some things like clothes and video games are wrapped in black plastic so you can’t see what’s what, but ppl are peaking anyway.
They were pretty smart about it this year since they saved the electronics for 5am. They have specific lines for those electronics though. Some of them have already started up. The bf and I got here at 9:30 and barely anyone was here. We took a quick tour of the place, planning out our route. Then he went to the video games and I’m standing next to my priority Xmas gifts. So far, a few ppl have piled up around me, but bf’s line has gotten pretty serious.
Hopefully Frederick is less violent than germantown and I won’t get chucked in the face or anything come 12:01…
We’re gonna head to hagerstown afterwards for some clothes deals so ill post an update later.
Update already….
I hate parents that bring their kids to these things…wtf. your kid is gonna get trampled. Horrible strategy! You’re gonna spend more time dealing with your kid than doing what your here for…shopping! It’s like work, but competitive! Leave your kids at home ppl!

It seems like everyone was able to snag a ticket to the harry potter premiere except for me… I’m verrrry jealous… but at the same time, I don’t know if I can bring myself to watch a part 1 of 2 with part 2 being another half year away… I mean… I get it. Theres a ton of stuff that happens in the last book and I appreciate the fact that theyre trying to squeeze it all in… but I can’t watch a part 1 without the part 2. It’s just gonna leave me aching for the second half and ill just be blown. then again, I don’t know that ill be able to hold off until part 2 comes out to watch part 1…. sigh…

So I just gave my lappy to my cousin who’s gonna take it to her sister to clean up…I think I got a virus on it…boo…
So its only been a few hrs but im already feeling weird. Like somethings missing.. but my phone can do just about anything my lappy did for me…except that it cant watch my online tv…which may be a problem…but my daddy will just have to learn to share computers…or I might actually watch the fios we now have…except then my mommy will have to share. I haven’t really watched more tv since I got fios…but my mom seems to be making good use out of it…I think I’ve given up on tv. Commercials are annoying so of just rather watch everything online. Or I at least need my lappy around for something to do during commercials. I’m interested to see what I plan on doing with my life now that I am without lappy…

flu season

I went to the doctor on Thursday because he wouldn’t sign my work form without seeing me. The guy made me sit in the room and watch a 10 minute youtube lecture on vitamin d… its like the new cure for cancer or something and my body is apparently seriously lacking it. He says he didn’t even need a blood test to know it cuz of my test results two years ago. dick.
He doesn’t really care to give me a blood test cuz he claims he already knows my vitamin d is low…and im like dude, I could care less. I just wanna make sure there’s nothing else wrong with me. jeez. So I had to INSIST on a blood test. After two years of not seeing him, I had to INSIST on a blood test. WTF! Why did I need to come in for a physical so he could sign off saying I was healthy and all without a blood test?! He signed off on my paper anyway…without my blood results…so if there is anything wrong with me, too late now. PSH.
so then, he finally recommends gardasil for me… two years ago, he was flippin shit about how i needed to order it myself cuz he doesn’t know if insurance is gonna cover it, yadiyadiyadi. and NOW he says “oh so you probably dont have to worry about it until you get married cuz you’re still young, but you can get it now if you want.” HELLO?! I’ve told you before that I was on fuckin birth control! This guy is ridiculous! His assumption that I’m going to wait till marriage to have sex drives me nuts!…
ARGH. soo.. I got my blood taken, my first injection of gardasil, and a flu shot…which he insisted on yet again. I’m sorry, but I don’t ever get the flu shot, cuz I always get sick when I get the flu shot…which I am now. sore throat, fever, and the works. so thanks a lot old asian doctor who needs to retire.
